Banff Center for Arts and Creativity – Visual Arts Thematic Residency
Develop your work at Banff Center’s Visual Arts Residency. You’ll have access to the Canadian Rockies’ premier studios, instruction from top faculty, and a vibrant arts community. The application fee is $65 ($35 for applicants who identify as Indigenous). read more hyperallergenic.

Craft Center – 2026 Craft Archive Fellowship
Four $5,000 awards will be given to fellows conducting research in underrepresented craft history. The fellowship culminates in the following feature articles: hyperallergenic and a virtual program hosted by the Center for Craft. read more hyperallergenic.

Tulsa Artist Fellowship
The Tulsa Artist Fellowship provides three years of funding, housing, and studio space to create meaningful work in Tulsa’s vibrant arts community. Applications will open on April 7, 2026.

Research Curation Program – CPR 2026: Hello New York!
The Curatorial Program for Research (CPR) is pleased to announce the call for HELLO NEW YORK 2026. The program will run from June 15th to June 27th, and selected participants will receive a $400 scholarship. The application fee is $45.

Lightwork Artist in Residence Program
Each year, this nonprofit photography organization invites 12 to 15 artists to Syracuse, New York, to spend a month working on a creative project. The residency includes a $5,000 stipend, a fully furnished artist apartment, 24-hour access to the facility, staff support, and more. The application fee is $10.

University of Texas at Austin – St. Elmo Arts Residency
One recent Studio Art MFA graduate will receive a $40,000 scholarship, a private studio, and a home in South Austin. The artist is expected to teach and lead workshops during the academic year and will have a solo exhibition at the Visual Arts Center.

Art and writing open call
GHOSTMACHINE Gallery – 2026 Annual Call
The call, curated by MoMA Curatorial Associate Dominika Tiruchi, will offer winners a two- or three-person show in New York City’s Chinatown this summer. Ten finalists will receive a studio visit and their submitted work will be considered for future projects. There is a $25 application fee.

Art in Odd Places 2026: UTOPIAS – Open call
Artists and collectives are invited to submit projects proposing speculative infrastructures of care, denial, joy, and mutual recognition to be presented at the outdoor visual and performance arts festival along Manhattan’s 14th Street.

Break – Critical Writing Call 2026
Critical Writing at Recess initiates meaningful exchanges between artists and writers and supports the mutual production of new works. Participants will receive a $4,000 stipend that includes compensation for writing, collaborating, and participating in cohort sessions.

U.S.-based nonprofit organizations that celebrate immigrants through the arts, science, education, or providing social services are invited to apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000. read more hyperallergenic.

3pts Artists & Makers Impact Fund
U.S.-based mid-career artists and makers who create tangible objects and goods and are actively building sustainable creative businesses are eligible to apply for this $3,500 award. The application fee is $10.

Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation – 2026 Sculpture Writing Grant
The foundation will award one $20,000 grant to a writer who is committed to writing about sculpture through new thinking about its history, aesthetics, purpose, imagination, and/or its context.

Andy Warhol Foundation Artist Grant
This grant supports emerging and established contemporary artists. The grants support projects aimed at general and professional arts audiences, ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 in four categories: articles, books, short writing, and translations.
